Chico Venture Community

The California Academy of Nurses is an extension of the existing Cambridge Career College in Yuba City, and was founded to solve the critical nursing shortage. We are currently in our 7th year of the accredidation process, with plans to open the first three campuses by 3rd quarter 2009, in Chico, Woodland, and Yuba City. Our secret sauce is our unique mix of online and in-class instruction, and our ability to secure an ample supply of nurse practical training hours, a problem that has bottlenecked the system for most of our competitors. We plan on annual enrollment of 120 students per campus, with a gross annual revenue of just under $5 million per campus. We are currently seeking contacts with area hospitals, real estate development partners, and investors for the initial 3 campuses.
